The ASUCD Pantry is a student-run, student-led organization that provides food and other basic essentials to UC Davis students and staff who would like support in acquiring food and other basic necessities.
Understand the role of the Pantry and how Patrons can access the Pantry.
Help manage incoming deliveries and donations.
Stock fridges & shelves and keeping them organized.
Bag orders for Patrons.
Check in Patrons at the front desk.
Toss out the cardboard when the cardboard cart is full.
Maintain a positive environment.
Organizations must be UC Davis affiliated in order to volunteer.
Orgs must contact us 2 weeks in advance of the start of volunteering: [[email protected]].
Groups can book up to 2hrs/week to volunteer.
Preferred times for group volunteers is during our morning restocking shifts (MWF, 9-10:30am).
Orgs must provide the Pantry a complete list of volunteer names from their group.
Due to limited space in the Pantry, group volunteers cannot exceed the following each shift:
All volunteers from must be fully trained and cleared prior to their first shift.
All volunteers must join the Pantry Discord - they will have a specific “group volunteer” role.
A Pantry manager or shift lead will lead the shift. They will provide guidance and answer questions during your shift.
